CHRISTOPHER "CHRIS" BERGERON
FOREVER 29
“Christopher had a beautiful smile that was genuine. He was both kind and generous. Always willing to help others in need. He was an only child and never had children of his own. Children loved him and considered him their uncle. Having ten older cousins he was considered their little brother. He loved animals and seemed to always find a rescue.
In school, he thrived, graduating at the age of 16. He enjoyed the outdoors and his favorite pastime was fishing. Chris worked in construction and traveled to the US Virgin Islands to help with hurricane reconstruction.
When Chris decided to become an organ donor at age 18, it was a decision I have truly respected. I’ve become friends with his kidney recipient and consider her a friend. Knowing he has helped others even through his passing has helped me through my darkest days.
My son, our hero. Christopher is missed very much, and we keep his spirit alive by keeping him in our daily conversations.
This world has lost a wonderful soul, but Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Chris, you are very loved and missed each and every day.”
- Wendy
Christopher’s life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and selflessness. He left an indelible mark on this world, from the lives he touched while alive to the lives he continues to save through his incredible decision to become an organ donor.
Chris’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he impacted, directly or indirectly. He is remembered not only as a beloved son but also as a friend, a protector, and a light in the lives of so many. The world is better because he was in it, and Heaven is brighter because he is there now.
Rest in peace, Chris. Your love, strength, and spirit will continue to inspire all who knew you. You are forever loved.
