Denise Lena Speaks was a devoted mother, sister, and daughter who fought a long battle with addiction. Despite maintaining her sobriety for an extended period, tragedy struck when she lost her husband to an overdose just three weeks before her own death. Overwhelmed with grief, Denise passed away from a fentanyl overdose on January 12th, 2022.

Denise had a heart of gold and lived for her children. Wherever she went, her babies were always by her side. She loved taking them to the beach, exploring parks, and trying new restaurants. Her love for them was apparent in every moment they shared. Denise also spent much of her time with her best friend, Chasity, finding joy and comfort in their close bond.

Denise left behind two young children, a three-year-old and a one-year-old, who were later adopted by a family friend. Though her life was cut short, her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
