Bon Jovi - I’ll Be There for You
Joshua Allen Trippett was more than a brother, a father, and a friend—he was a pillar of love, loyalty, and strength for everyone who knew him. Born on December 29, 1988, Joshua tragically passed away on June 23, 2023, from an overdose, the circumstances of which remain uncertain. His family is still seeking answers, but one thing is clear: Joshua left a mark on the lives of those he loved.
Joshua was a loving father to his three boys—Levi, Noah, and Genesis.
He adored his nieces and nephews, treating them like they were his own kids. Family meant everything to him. He was always the one who brought everyone together, hosting gatherings at his house, where you could count on good times, laughter, and love.
Joshua had a huge heart and countless passions. He was an avid Michigan Wolverines fan and had a deep love for cars, fishing, and music. One of his sister Latoyia's fondest memories is singing “I’ll Be There for You” by Bon Jovi with him. That song became a symbol of their special bond, and it was played at his funeral to honor his memory.
Despite the heartbreaking circumstances of his passing from an overdose, Josh was a constant source of support and encouragement for those around him who battled addiction. He worked tirelessly to help his loved ones stay clean, urging his siblings to fight for their recovery. Though his sister continues to struggle, his guidance helped another family member remain clean since 2015. Joshua deeply cared about the impact of addiction, which makes the tragedy of his overdose even harder for his family to bear.
As Latoyia lovingly shares, "Joshua was my best friend. He was always there for the people he loved. Even though it’s hard to accept that he’s gone, we hold on to the memories of the amazing person he was. He is deeply missed by all of us."
