KEVAN R. BROWN

FOREVER 45

Kevan R. Brown was a bright light in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Known for his warm, outgoing personality, Kevan never met a stranger. He brought joy wherever he went, always ready with a joke or a smile to lighten the mood. His infectious laughter and positive energy made him the life of every gathering.

A man of many talents, Kevan spent his life as a skilled brick mason and the proud owner of his own landscaping business. But perhaps one of his greatest loves was golf. He wasn’t just passionate about the sport—he excelled in it, even reaching semi-pro status at one point in his life.

Kevan’s greatest pride, however, was his three children—a daughter and two sons—whom he loved with all his heart. They were his world, and his devotion to them was unwavering.

Despite facing struggles with addiction and mental health, Kevan displayed immense courage and resilience. He entered rehab and turned his life around, earning his certificate and dedicating himself to helping others in recovery. He provided advice and peer support to new patients, using his journey to inspire hope and strength in others.

Tragically, Kevan’s life was cut short by a counterfeit pill laced with fentanyl—a devastating loss that has left a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends. Yet his legacy lives on in the impact he made during his time here.

In honor of Kevan’s memory and his dreams, his family established the #KBProject, an annual golf tournament held each August around his birthday. All proceeds go to Caring Services, a program that helps individuals access addiction treatment. This initiative was inspired by Kevan’s own writings, where he expressed his desire to support others on their path to recovery.

Kevan, your light, kindness, and passion for life continue to inspire those who love you. You are missed beyond words, but your legacy lives on—not only through the lives you touched but also in the mission to fight the epidemic that took you too soon. Rest peacefully, Kevan. You are forever loved.
