NICHOLAS IACANO

FOREVER 33

Some people leave footprints on the world that time can never erase. Nicholas "Nick" Joseph Iacano was one of them. He was a son, a father, a husband, a brother, and a friend who brought warmth and laughter wherever he went. His heart was big, his love was steady, and his presence made life better for those who knew him.

Born February 8, 1988, in Garfield Heights, Ohio, Nick lived a life full of adventure and purpose. He graduated from Nordonia High School in 2006 and soon after answered the call to serve, joining the Navy in December of that year. He spent four years in service, dedicating himself to something greater than himself, and was honorably discharged in 2010.

It was during his time stationed at Tinker Air Force Base that he met Amber Buchanan, and together they welcomed their son, Dominic Joseph, on August 8, 2011. Being a father became one of Nick’s greatest joys, shaping his decisions and leading him back to Oklahoma to be closer to his son. He built a career at Tinker as a civilian employee, working in avionics on the legendary B-52 bombers, a job that spoke to his skill and dedication. In 2020, he married Kelsey, starting a new chapter of love and commitment.

"My beautiful and my best friend. My baby boy forever." – His mother

Nick was more than the titles he held. To his loved ones, he was a cherished best friend, a steady presence, and the heart of his family. He was the kind of person you could always count on, the kind of soul who left a mark just by being himself.

His time here ended too soon on November 3, 2021, but love like his does not fade. It lingers in the hearts of those who knew him, in the memories shared, in the laughter that still echoes when stories are told.
