RAYCE TUCK

FOREVER 17

Rayce Tuck was a soul who moved through life with grace, humor, and a heart that cared more for the substance of people than their surface. Born in December 2006 in East Texas, Rayce brought a love of music into the world from the very beginning. He wasn’t just a listener; he was a creator. Strumming his guitar and crafting tunes from his imagination, music was more than a passion—it was an extension of who he was. At just 17 years old, his story ended far too soon, leaving behind a world that feels quieter, dimmer, without his laughter and light.

His skateboard became a symbol of his free spirit. At the skatepark, Rayce formed friendships that ran deep, bound by a shared love for adventure and the unspoken understanding of what it means to find joy in the moment. And while he didn’t play basketball in school, some of his happiest times were spent shooting hoops with friends in the driveway—simple moments filled with laughter and connection.

Rayce’s life was guided by kindness and authenticity. He walked his own path, valuing people for their hearts rather than what they wore or owned. “He wasn’t a materialistic kid,” his family remembers. “He needed the bare minimum when it came to clothes, shoes, or accessories. He used a shoestring for a belt, even though he had a belt. He wore worn-out skate shoes even though he had new shoes in the closet. He cared more about how people treated others than what they were wearing or what they had.”

This was Rayce: a boy who lived by his values, who loved deeply and saw the world for its true colors. He was a big brother and best friend to his younger sister, Sadie, who was born three years and three months after him. Their bond was unbreakable, their laughter and love a testament to the kind of brother Rayce was—protective, caring, and always there.

Rayce stepped to the beat of his own drum, not because it was easy, but because it was true to who he was. He leaves behind a legacy of love, authenticity, and a reminder to look beyond the surface and embrace what truly matters.

Rest gently, Rayce.
