Roger “Pops” Benner was a man of many layers—a joker, a smoker, a lover, and a fighter. He wasn’t always the easiest person to get along with, but for those who truly knew him, he was a man with a heart of gold, ready to go to the ends of the earth for those he loved. His loyalty and love were unmatched, and he brought a fierce sense of devotion to his family and friends.

Roger was a great father and an even greater grandpa, lovingly called “Papa” by those who adored him. His grandchildren brought out the best in him, and the love he shared with them will forever be remembered. While he was taken too soon, his memory and spirit continue to live on through those he cherished most.

He was more than just a man—he was a legacy, a presence, and a light in the lives of those who loved him. As his family lovingly says, “He lives on through me, every day.”
