SHANE STEPHENS
FOREVER 39
Shane had the kind of humor that could lift the weight of the world, a laugh that cracked through even the toughest days like sunlight through storm clouds. He carried an easy charm, a presence that made people feel at home, as if they had always known him.
He never had an enemy in his lifetime - only friends, only people drawn to his warmth, his wit, his ability to turn life’s struggles into something a little less heavy with just a well-timed joke.
To his sister, he was more than a sibling — he was her person, her one and only brother, her protector. The one who stood beside her, through thick and thin, with an unspoken promise that no matter how hard life got, she would never face it alone. If time could bend and offer one more moment, it would be a chance to say what was left unsaid: "I'm sorry. I love you."
Shane never turned to anything but alcohol to cope—no medications, no drugs—just the weight of life pressed into a bottle. He carried his struggles quietly, without complaint, without ever letting them steal away the joy he so effortlessly gave to others. He was larger than his hardships, larger than the battles he fought in silence.
His absence is a silence too loud to ignore, an empty space that laughter used to fill. But his spirit lingers in the memories of those who loved him.
