TERRENCE V. BAROS
FOREVER 31
Terrence V. Baros was a man whose life was filled with love, purpose, and a determination to leave an impact on everyone he met. His mother remembers him as someone who played with heart—on the basketball court, the football field, and in life.
“My son Terrence left behind two children. One boy, one girl,” she writes. “He played basketball during his grade school and middle school years. He loved playing ball with his older brother and several close friends. When he hit high school, he played basketball and football both. He continued with football long after he was out of school. He met people whom he loved on and off the field.”
Terrence wasn’t just an athlete—he was a bright, outgoing presence who became the center of attention wherever he went. His family and friends, coworkers, and even his high school principal were profoundly impacted by him.
“He was always outgoing and the center of attention. At home, at play, and at work. He left a huge impact on so many lives. That was more than apparent at his end-of-life celebration when a lot of his friends, coworkers, employers, and even his high school principal shared their thoughts, feelings, and memories.”
But beyond his achievements and charm, Terrence's greatest role was as a father. He took that responsibility seriously, making his children the center of his world. His love was evident in every school function he attended, every birthday party he threw, every weekend coastal trip, and every day outing.
“He was that ‘dad,’” his mother says. “He loved his whole family—his brothers and his sisters. He wanted all of us together. He took being a father to his kids seriously, from school functions, kids’ parties, weekend coast trips, and day outings.”
The morning of January 26, 2024, changed everything. It was the morning of his mother’s birthday when she found him gone.
“He passed away almost one year ago on Jan. 26, 2024. It was also the morning of my birthday when I found him. Our lives will never be the same. He is loved and missed by so many, each and every day.”
Terrence’s family holds his memory close. His mother, who calls herself “#MomOfTerrence,” reminds us of the legacy he left behind:
“Fly high, ‘T.’ 💔 LLTVB Always Our #81.”
Terrence V. Baros will be remembered for his unshakable love for his family, his joy in fatherhood, and the countless ways he brought people together.ext
